We’re very pleased to announce our latest partnership with Changing Lives, a fantastic charity based in the North East.
This partnership aims to provide essential support to individuals and families facing various extremely challenging circumstances by offering free storage space to the charity for storing donations.
The free storage unit will be instrumental for Changing Lives in storing essential items like beds, wardrobes, and general household furniture, which will then be distributed to those in need – particularly individuals transitioning into new accommodation.
Having free storage space means the charity can streamline its operations and focus more on its core mission of assisting disadvantaged members of the community, without worrying about reaching storage capacity or turning away potential donations.
“blue self storage kindly donated a storage solution to our North Tyneside housing project worth £2500 to support with storing donations of essential items for the people we support facing homelessness. We thank them so much as this storage will enable us to receive more physical donations to the people who need it most.”

About Changing Lives
Changing Lives has been helping people facing some of the most challenging circumstances for 50 years. What began as a small charity in the North East, helping people who were experiencing homelessness through their hostels and day centres, is now a national operation helping thousands of people each year to change their lives for the better.
They have over 100 projects in England staffed by more than 600 dedicated staff and volunteers. The charity helps people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, long-term unemployment and more, to make positive change – for good.
The heart of the community
The impact of this initiative extends far beyond the walls of the storage unit. It speaks volumes about the power of businesses and charities working together towards a common goal: making a positive difference in the lives of those facing hardship. In a world where acts of kindness often go unnoticed, this partnership serves as a shining example of how small gestures can create significant ripple effects of goodwill.
Through the donation of free storage space, we are not only providing practical support but also spreading hope and compassion to those who need it most. This initiative serves as a shining example of how businesses can leverage their resources to make a meaningful impact on society, one act of kindness at a time.
