We’re thrilled to announce that blue self storage has won Container Operator Site of the Year for the second time at the 2023 UK SSA Awards – this calls for confetti!
On May 16th 2023, we attended the awards event in Birmingham and travelled in full force with 9 of our team members. We were over the moon to be announced as the award winner, and our deserving team had a fantastic time celebrating.
Securing the UK Container Operator Site of the Year 2023 award is a huge achievement, and a testament to our exceptional service, commitment to high standards, and dedication to providing secure and accessible storage solutions. We’d like to congratulate and thank all of our hard working staff. We’re popping the champagne (safely stored, of course!) to toast this victory!

Apart from being one of the largest self storage facilities in the UK, our Wentloog site is an extremely secure self storage facility. We have a great friendly team who work incredibly hard to ensure customers receive amazing customer service. Our facility is open 24/7 and protected by our in-house security team. With over 3000 customers on-site, it even has its own Business Network!
As well as being a fantastic self storage facility, Wentloog is a location like no other. The site is full of wonderful surprises such as beehives, green roofs, sculptures, lakes and an abundance of wildlife such as kingfishers, herons and lots more. We ensure the highest standards are maintained with our very own handyman on site making sure the site is clean and safe.
We also help support many charitable causes such as food banks, Llanrumney Hall Food Pantry, Cerebral Palsy Cymru, grassroots sport and more recently The Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity.

The Self Storage Association United Kingdom (SSA UK) is the primary trade group in the UK that represents the interests of both self-storage businesses and industry supply members. The association’s goal is to promote best practices and accelerate the growth of one of the UK’s fastest-growing alternative asset-based sectors.
The event is an excellent opportunity to showcase achievements as it recognises the valuable contributions of individuals who have played a pivotal role in the success of the business.
