Help us improve the environment around us through our litter picking event. Plus, grab a bite and get to mingle with fellow participants!
As the world is becoming more eco-conscious, businesses are looking for ways to lessen their impact on the environment and we’ve been making some eco strides of our own. Part of our commitment to protecting the environment means we’re constantly searching for ways to practise greater ecological awareness and reduce our carbon footprint, not only in our business practices but also in our day-to-day lives; from carefully sourcing our suppliers to changing our tea bags to plastic-free ones!
To make a positive impact on the environment while also connecting with our community, we have planned the upcoming event – Pick n’ Mix, a litter picking and networking event at Wentloog Corporate Park. The event is a great opportunity to help clean the environment and get to network with others!

The event will take place on Friday, August 4th at 4:00 pm. We have identified an area just outside Wentloog Corporate Park – Newlands Road to clean up and the litter picking will finish around 5:30 pm. After that, we’ll head back to blue self storage for an opportunity to network and learn more about each other’s businesses. Although there’s nothing stopping you from talking shop whilst you pick!
We’ve partnered with Keep Wales Tidy who will provide all the equipment to complete the litter pick safely, the work has been risk assessed to ensure all participants are protected and risks are minimised, and gloves will be provided by blue self storage.
Last time we collected over 40 bags which made a huge difference to the area, environment, and local wildlife. This time we hope to comfortably beat this figure by increasing the number of participants! Our recently established Wentloog Business Network will be invited to come along with other notable Wentloog Corporate Park businesses such as DPD and others.
