Chris drives our business forward through strategy and ambitious growth. Our ongoing expansion is due, in large part, to Chris’ vision of a unique, enhanced provision of storage across the UK. His commercial acumen and management of our great team means blue self storage is in an exciting phase of business development. Chris also represents Independent Container operators as a non-executive director of the SSA (Self Storage Association).
Dean brings a wide range of experience from the construction and housing sector. The exceptional storage team benefit from Dean’s supportive style of management, along with his eagerness to drive the business forward. With a passion for quality service and a focus on the customer experience, customers regularly benefit from Dean’s ‘out of the box’ (often referred to as quirky!) approach.
Jamie originally joined the team as a member of the finance department, but we quickly recognised his potential and developed his role allowing for a more hands-on input to the business. Jamie’s financial background and in-depth knowledge of our industry will complement Dean as he drives the business to new heights!!
As team leader, Rhi is always on hand to support and lead the team, and is often the vital cog linking the team with management. With great people skills and a hunger to drive sales and improvements Rhi has been pivotal in our recent success. Don’t be fooled by her pint-sized demeanour, with a direct approach and striving for perfection Rhi packs a punch. Just please don’t ask her to sing!
Having worked for our security team for the past 2 years, Meg’s potential stood out instantly; amiable, well organised, thorough and accurate, Meg fits the team perfectly. Prior to joining us, Meg worked in hospitality so understands the importance of great customer service. Her calm and friendly nature with an in-depth knowledge of our sites means Meg has hit the ground running.
Sharon has worked at blue self storage for 30 years – a true loyalist! When she started, there were only 57 caravans – now we’re at almost 2000 and counting. Sharon deals predominantly with customer services and sales, but we know her around here as our ‘Caravan Queen’. Sharon also leads on charitable initiatives and is responsible for helping a lot of great causes.
More affectionately known as Bernie, Bernie has worked within the group for around 30 years. Originally from a manufacturing background and then document storage, Bernie’s wealth of experience and ‘can-do’ attitude has proved invaluable. Bernie simply understands ‘storage’ which has proven an instant success with customers and colleagues.
Jeanette is the quiet mild mannered one but don’t be fooled… Always prepared to roll her sleeves up, always busy behind the scenes, keeping the cogs moving, assisting customers and colleagues when needed. Jeanette is also a keen ‘caravanner’ and complements our caravan queen Sharon nicely. What a double act! Move over Batman & Robin, or should we say Bonnie & Clyde?
Martin joined us from the leisure industry where he acquired a wealth of customer service experience. Mild mannered with a dry sense of humour, Martin’s addition to the team has been seamless and very timely for blue self storage. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to helping and assisting customers. Martin loves the diversity the role offers and engaging with customers.
Emma has worked for the group in sales roles for the past 6 years, so when the opportunity came for our team to grow there was only one person – we wanted Emma to join the team. With a wealth of sales experience and knowledge, Emma will be key in helping us fill new sites. Alongside Emma’s professional capabilities, she brings personality, energy and fun to a great team. No one can ever accuse Emma of being the quiet one! Apart from adding sound insulation to our offices, Emma’s introduction is just what the doctor ordered!
As Accounts Manager, Roisin (Roz) has been instrumental in leading the accounts team and driving recent improvements. Having been on board for 16 years, Roz is extremely familiar with all aspects of the business and provides a link to the operations team to ensure that both teams work together. As a beast in the gym, Roz is often seen doing a few laps around site, give her a wave if you bump into her!
Say hello to Ann! Ann is a skilled member of the accounts team and has been with the business now for over 3 years. Ann is highly motivated and eager to share her wealth of experience and knowledge with us at blue self storage. With her friendly nature and problem solving skills you can be sure Ann is always on hand to listen and help with any query you may have, or if you just fancy a chat…
Meet Adam, a member of the accounts department bringing with him a skilled background based in both finance and all things IT related. Adam’s strengths bring a fresh approach to the blue self storage team; with Adam’s expertise, experience and enthusiasm, he can provide answers to all your questions.
Meet Ben. Ben joined our accounts team in August 22 and quickly became part of the furniture. For such a young pair of shoulders, he has shown great maturity in settling in to his role and bringing lots of qualities to the team. Forever positive, keen to learn with a huge smile on his face and always willing to help colleagues and customers with any accounts related queries. However, don’t be fooled by the fresh youthful looks as he’s very competitive on the football pitch.
A big blue welcome to James, the newest member to join our dynamic accounts team. James brings with him a wealth of knowledge in both the finance and customer services sector. Mild mannered with a warm demeanour and positive outlook James is a breath of fresh air and will be on hand to help with any query you throw at him. James is a big football fan, he may give Ben a run for his money on the football pitch, watch this space!
We are super excited to introduce our newest team member Becky! Becky is a very successful credit controller and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in finance and customer service. In the short space of time Becky has joined the team she has made a huge impact with her go-getter attitude and approach to life. She loves to sing around the office, let’s just say we have stocked up on the ear plugs – fingers crossed she doesn’t team up with Rhi in a duet!
Stephen joined our security team following 30 years as a police officer, completing various roles including the Dog and Mounted Section in South Wales Police. Stephen heads up our in house security team, consisting of 18 guards and 6 dogs. On a day to day basis, Stephen’s team deal with the security of all sites, including patrols and CCTV monitoring. Our customers’ possessions are in safe hands with Stephen and his team.
Lewis is responsible for auditing and maintaining our facilities to ensure that they remain at the high standard that our customers have become accustomed to. With a background in Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement, Lewis’s keen eye for detail means that he is always looking at ways to improve our storage sites and offering. As a Welsh national award winner in environmental management, Lewis is focused on making the business greener and reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
