   In February 2020 we set up our new Facebook group, the blue self storage Caravan and Motorhome Club, for customers who use us for caravan, camper van & motorhome storage in Cardiff and we’re happy to say it’s been a huge success!

   With over 200 members already, and plenty of new posts every week, it’s exactly what we wanted the group to be – inclusive, interesting, and an interactive platform for caravan & motorhome owners to learn from each other, share top tips, ‘must see’ places to visit or avoid, and sell your vehicles or accessories.

   #1 – Get regular updates on your caravan or motorhome storage

   We carry out daily inspections at our blue self storage facility in Wentloog, and we share any news with the group – if any covers have come loose, or if any action needs to be taken due to the weather, we’ll keep you updated*.

   We’ll also share important industry news – like the fantastic U-turn in motorhome tax, announced in this year’s financial budget – to keep you informed of what you need to know.

   *Don’t worry – all customers are told about potential issues personally, via phone. Our Facebook updates are simply to keep you up-to-date with the site, should any new developments happen!

   

   #2 – Ask for recommendations from other caravan & motorhome owners

   Who better to ask than other owners and experts? If you need valet cleaning, MOT & servicing, or you’re looking for new travel ideas, or places to visit, or things to try, this is the place to ask!

   You can ask for tips & knowledge that matter to you, from people like you.

   

   #3 – Buy & sell your vehicles or related accessories

   You could spend hours on eBay or Gumtree, trying to sell your beloved vehicle – or you could pop a photo with some details in our new group, and sell it locally!

   Chances are, our members will know someone looking for a new caravan or motorhome; they may even be in the market themselves…

   #4 – Share your ideas & feedback for blue self storage

   We’re always keen to hear from our caravan & motorhome storage customers, and we want to make our site the best it can possibly be. For that, we need your feedback.

   The Caravan & Motorhome Club is somewhere you can leave feedback and recommendations for storage. You can also ask questions and our expert team will be on hand to answer.

   In this digital era, making new online connections is important. One of our hopes for this group is that it’ll encourage more chatting and friendly discussions between owners.

   Caravan season is coming to an end – but that doesn’t mean your beloved travelling companion has to go dusty!

   We have a range of new and existing caravan storage products we think you’ll be interested in for caravan winter storage…

   We’re also looking for your feedback – scroll down to find out what we’re after!

   #1 – Absorb gel bag, £20

   We now offer a new absorb gel bag which holds 4-5 litres of moisture; a great product which has been tried and tested in other storage facilities to help manage the risk of condensation mould growth.

   The bag is simply hung up, with no risk of spillage as moisture forms a gel.

   The gel bag will help protect your caravan throughout the cold wet months.

   Please be aware this is to help manage condensation, and there are other things you will need to do to minimise the risks, such as ventilation and preventing water egress.

   #2 – Jump leads, £20

   We try to respond positively to customer feedback, and several customers have asked if we had jump leads they could use.

   We have now purchased a set for customer use only. In addition, we now stock jump leads for sale should you wish to take a set away on your travels.

   In an emergency or breakdown, jump leads could get your camper van or motorhome going again; don’t leave home without them!

   To get either of these products, ask our friendly team at reception when you next visit or get in touch.

   We’re always looking to develop our services and improve your experience as a customer.

   It’s great to celebrate what we do well, but we’d love you to tell us where we need to improve.

   We’re after some honest feedback on our caravan, motorhome and campervan storage service so far in 2019.

   How would you rate our service this year? Would you recommend us to a friend? Were you aware we have a referral scheme?

   Additionally, we’re looking to expand our range of products and introduce a caravan shop for if you run low on essentials.

   What items would you like to us to offer in this shop?

   And can you think of any services you’d like us to offer next year? We’re already considering:

   • Developing a blue self storage caravan group on our Facebook page – maybe a place to sell or buy caravan or accessories, share good and bad campsite experiences, and get involved in how we can improve our service. Your opinion is so important to us.
   • Introducing a caravan and camper valeting service, as several of our customers have already asked about this.
