We’ve got some brilliant news: our Treforest site has been named a finalist in the 2026 FEDESSA European Self Storage Awards for External Storage Operator Site of the Year.
The awards celebrate the very best facilities, teams and ideas from across Europe’s self storage industry. With the standard of entries described as exceptionally high, reaching the final is a fantastic achievement and one that has made Team Blue very proud.
Treforest Is Having Quite the Year
Our Treforest facility has already earned recognition closer to home, finishing runner-up in the UK External Storage Operator Site of the Year category at the 2026 SSA UK Awards. Now, it’s heading onto the European stage as a FEDESSA finalist. Not bad going for a collection of big blue boxes in Pontypridd, eh?
This recognition reflects everything we work hard to deliver at Treforest: a clean, secure and easy-to-use facility, backed by a friendly team that genuinely cares about our customers.
The site offers storage units for homes and businesses, with convenient drive-up access and flexible options for different storage needs. Customers also benefit from 24/7 access, monitored CCTV, perimeter fencing, an electric gate and contactless entry using a unique QR code. In other words, storing your belongings should be simple, even when life itself is anything but.
A Huge Team Effort
Awards might have one site’s name written on them, but they are never the work of one person.
Becoming a FEDESSA finalist is a credit to everyone who keeps Treforest running smoothly, from the people looking after the facility and helping customers to those working behind the scenes. Their care, consistency and hard work have helped make the site what it is today.
We’d also like to thank our customers. Whether you’ve stored with us during a house move, used a unit for your business or simply needed somewhere secure for the belongings taking over your spare room, your support has played a huge part in our journey.
Could We Make It Two European Titles in a Row?
There’s a little extra excitement surrounding this year’s final. In 2025, our Llanishen facility was named FEDESSA External Storage Site of the Year. Now Treforest has the opportunity to follow in its footsteps.
No pressure, Treforest. Absolutely none.
The 2026 winners will be announced at the FEDESSA Conference and Trade Show in Wiesbaden, Germany, on Thursday 24 September. Until then, we’ll be keeping everything crossed and celebrating the fact that Treforest has been recognised among Europe’s best.
Whatever happens on the night, reaching the final is already something worth shouting about.
