Cardiff Castle is about to turn pink.
City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign returns for its sixth year this August, and we couldn’t be prouder to see it. City Hospice is the charity our Llanishen site supports, so this one’s close to home for us.
A Flower With a Story
Forever Flowers started as a way to help people remember loved ones during a time when funerals and gatherings weren’t possible.
Six years on, it’s grown into one of Cardiff’s most moving summer traditions. Each year gets its own flower, and each one is chosen for what it represents.
This year it’s the pink poppy. It stands for love, compassion, peace and admiration.

What Happens at Cardiff Castle
Over a thousand limited-edition metal poppies will fill the castle grounds from 6th to 16th August.
Anyone can dedicate a poppy in memory of someone special. Each one costs £28, with proceeds going straight to City Hospice.
On the Thursday 6th August, there’s also a Celebration of Life evening at the castle. It’s open to everyone, not just those who’ve bought a flower.

Why It Matters
City Hospice is Cardiff’s only provider of home-based specialist palliative care.
They support families through some of the hardest moments life brings, at home and at Ty Hosbis. Every poppy sold helps keep that care going.
Forever Flowers isn’t just a fundraiser. It gives people a proper, public way to grieve and remember, which is something a lot of us don’t get the chance to do.
Our Small Part in It
We nominated City Hospice as our charity of the year, because their work matters to this community.
We’ll be cheering the campaign on this August, and we’d love for you to get involved. Our very own Izzy and Sharon will be volunteering too.
