We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Bridgend College to help pave the way for students to pursue their passion for sports, regardless of financial circumstances.
We understand that many students face barriers to participation in extracurricular activities, including the cost of equipment, uniforms, and transportation. That’s why we’ve committed to donating £500 per year for the next three years to support the Pathway to Sport programme at Bridgend College.
This donation will provide much-needed assistance to pupils who may experience financial hardship, ensuring that they have the opportunity to participate in sports and reap the numerous benefits that come with it.
Participating in sports not only promotes physical health and fitness but also teaches invaluable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. By investing in the Pathway to Sport programme, we’re not just providing financial support; we’re investing in the future success and well-being of these students.
blue self storage is proud to be part of a community that values education, empowerment, and inclusivity. We believe that every student deserves the chance to pursue their passions and reach their full potential, and we’re honoured to play a role in making that possible.
“We have a wide range of pupils from a variety of economic backgrounds, and the Pathway to Sport programme allows the college to support pupils who otherwise would be denied the opportunity to participate and enjoy the benefits of sport. The support will be implemented with sensitivity and with dignity.”
– Simon Norris, Rugby Hub Officer, Bridgend College
About Pathway to Sport
We encourage other businesses in the community to join us in supporting initiatives like the Pathway to Sport programme. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of young people and help build a brighter future for our community.
Bridgend College has a rich history of nurturing talented rugby players including Wales and British Lion Rhys Webb. A sizeable list of ex-pupils are currently doing well playing for the regions including Lloyd Ashley, Owen Watkin, Harri Deaves and Tom Habberfield all playing for the Ospreys whereas Luke Morgan is applying his trade at the Dragons. Who knows, we could help unearth the next rugby superstar!
Thank you to Bridgend College for partnering with us on this important initiative, and thank you to all of our customers and supporters who make it possible for us to give back in meaningful ways. Together, we’re making a positive impact, one donation at a time.
